3 Young Glastonbury Runners Struck By Car, Injured

Three minors were struck and injured by a car while jogging along a Connecticut roadway.

The incident occurred in Hartford County around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, April 15, in Glastonbury.

According to Lt. Kevin Szydlo of the Glastonbury Police, the three were running near Hubbard and Maple Streets when they were struck by a car.

All three were transported to Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford for evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Szydlo said.

The car's driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the police investigation.

Szydlo added that a preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling West on Hubbard Street when it struck three runners in the roadway.
